Last night, Thursday 20th October, we were fortunate enough to WIN Tech Company of the Year (Medium) at the UK Business Tech Awards, hosted in London!
The award focuses on recognising UK-based technology companies, based on different criteria, such as; staff roles and turnover, financial performance, recent achievements and challenges and how the business overcame them, to name a few.
CharterSync have had a stellar year, helping to facilitate multiple charter flights from China to the UK carrying critical COVID-19 test kits and medical supplies, with extremely tight deadlines. Due to the spread if the Omicron variant and various strike actions, staff shortages were a major challenge and to get the cargo unloaded from the aircraft, the CharterSync team went airside and supported the on-ground personnel to unload and distribute the cargo. This ultimately allowed the COVID supplies to be sent to distribution centres across the UK as rapidly as possible.
Our first priority is always the customer, and our clients often use charter flights for last-minute or time-critical shipments. Our technology is there to allow forwarders to search for any charter flight across the globe with the best charter options provided in a matter of minutes. We have previously been able to receive a charter request, complete the necessary documentation, and have the aircraft in the air in less than an hour, a speed which is unheard of in air cargo!
In the last year, we have also more than doubled our headcount, and have welcomed our inaugural university placement student!
